The cTrader Grid-Hedge News Event Manager has logic to pause trading before, during and after a major high-impact news event, this helps reduce massive draw-down spikes or from your account being wiped out. Unfortunately, cTrader Backtesting cannot include this logic, so if you run a backtest for a period of a year and during that year you had positions open during a high-impact news event then these positions could easily blow your account or produce a large drawdown.
