    The TD Sequential indicator is an indicator based on Tom Demark’s work and its purpose is to identify uptrend and downtrend exhaustion points. TD Sequential is composed of two parts,  the TD setup and TD phase. Each part is a countdown of consecutive bearish or bullish candles which start at the point that the closing price of a candle is lowest/highest from the 4th last candle.

    TD Sequential is used to identify trend exhaustion points and possible reversal points. It can be used for spotting exit points for trend following strategies as well as entry points for retracement based strategies. Based on the indicator setup a dot will appear on the chart indicating potential trend reversal (green signalling sell trend exhaustion and red signalling buy trend exhaustion).
