This is a great addition to the cTrader platform that allows traders to quickly switch between their favourite charts and timeframes using a custom list of buttons on the chart for easy access. It is fully customisable to allow you to choose a watchlist of symbols or your most traded Forex pairs, saving a few seconds of switching charts can make a big difference when you need to quickly submit, manage or close your positions.
Custom Symbol Buttons
This indicator allows you to choose which buttons are displayed on the chart as shown below based on the cTrader watchlist, the indicator shows the main Forex pairs by default.
Watchlists allow you to group symbols for easy access while trading.
Custom Period Buttons
In cTrader the periods are the timeframe for the chart, this indicator will allow you to quickly change timeframes and also customise which buttons are displayed on the chart for quick access.
Indicator Settings
The settings for this indicator will allow you to customise the hotkeys for both timeframes and symbols, below you will find an explanation for each setting. The settings are displayed when you first attach the indicator to the chart, but you can also adjust the settings after it has been added by following the link below.
Symbols
- Watchlist name - enter the name of the watchlist where your symbols are grouped.
- Button colour - type the colour name for the buttons like Green, also try using hash codes for colours like #434343
Periods
- Periods - enter the timeframes you wish to group for the buttons, split each one with a comma.
- Button colour - type the colour name for the buttons.
Remove Copyright Statement
You can easily remove the copyright statement shown on the chart by setting the show info parameter in the indicator settings to No.
Position - Choose where you wish to buttons to show, top or bottom of the chart.
Using the Button Size settings you can make the buttons wider and the text larger so it can be easier to see.
How To Install & Remove
First, make sure you have the cTrader trading platform installed and then simply unzip the file and double-click on it to automatically install it onto the platform.
